These babies belong to my brother Phoenix.
Wait, didn’t she just post yesterday she’s been out of school for 20 years is probably what you’re thinking!
He was born my nephew, my parents' grandson, but they adopted him a few years ago so now he is their son, my brother.
Last year my mother was fortunate to retire from a very stressful overnight job of 27 years. The time had finally come that both Dad and Mom are able to enjoy the life of retirement. It's nice to see them so happy enjoying their time together.
If you've ever had the opportunity to meet Phoenix. He's such a great kid, wise beyond his years. He's got that old school work ethic that you just don't see anymore. He's truly a blessing to all of us.
Phoenix fell in love with the snub nosed dogs. He has a pet Pug, Ellie. Well low and behold, along came Molly, the AKC French Bulldog. She's been such a sweet addition to the family.
As you know I've been raising Bostons for a number of years now and I've been watching what's trending. I wanted Phoenix to try his hand at the Frenchton thing since he doesn't need to own a male.
Phoenix means the world to me, and I'll always be here to help him out no matter how old he is. That's what family's for.
Since I have the experience in the Bostons, I delivered Molly's puppies. I had no idea what to expect, Frenchies are a foreign subject to me, but I figured I'd give it a go.
Molly did great. I'd been watching her on my camera waiting for puppies to arrive. I fell asleep for a little bit and woke up around 1:15 AM to see that there was indeed a puppy in there with her. That puppy is Polly. All cleaned up and everything. WOW!!! I was so impressed. I truly believe because these are Phoenix's puppies everything went great. Especially that first pup that I slept through.
I stayed up with her to assist the rest of the births. All natural. All went well. No issues.
Yes, she had some engorgement issues to begin with but that's when Hedwig stepped in to feed the babies for a day and all was resolved so they could go back home and be raised at Phoenix's home.
It's nice to see him share in the joy with his own litter of puppies. It's truly a humbling experience.
