I often get asked where I got my whelping pool covers.
From a company located in Texas, called Far-More Shade. These are the best. Puppies can't get underneath them like the EZ Whelp pads. I won't whelp another litter without them. Made in the USA I'm possibly looking to place a retired/spayed female of mine, specifically Little Dog Rogue. I feel deep down in my heart it's the right thing to do as I look back on the adults I've retired and know it was the best decision I made for them. The transition can be a little ruff and tough that first week or two, but they do become so bonded with their new family, they don't even remember me. And I'm ok with that. Now, the catch is, it is has to be the utmost perfect person/family for me to place this girl because she's one of a kind. If I cannot find that perfect home than obviously I was incredibly wrong with even contemplating this decision... but I don't know unless I put it out there. It's got to be someone pretty special to me, someone very meaningful, not someone I personally do not know. Truthfully, had I not wanted to breed Bostons longterm, I would have been done after my first program and they wouldn't have gone anywhere, they would have stayed with me.... but then there wouldn't have been more puppies either. Update:
I found the perfect couple for Rogue and she joined them in Des Moines, Iowa. |
